This wine is second only to Corton in quality, with a violet-like aroma and a supple drinking experience. It is delicate yet structured and powerful, with a bold body and richness rather than fruitiness or elegance.

Winemaking method: Soils of pebbly alluvial silt and chert. Hand-harvested, sorted, crushed, destemmed, and then malted for 12 days. Temperature rises naturally from 16-17°C to 28-30°C. No enzymes added. Blend of free-run wine and first pressing, aged for 2-3 days, then aged in barrels for over a year. 35-40% new oak barrels from Bertranges. Bottled unfined, lightly filtered.
