Brewing Method: Around 1940, the locals began cultivating Williams pears for consumption, but a violent storm in 1945 knocked the fruit to the ground. This disaster prompted them to decide to distill the fruit, resulting in a fragrant and harmonious liqueur. They then invented a process for growing pears in the bottle, and in 1954, the first Bompea Williams was born. With the legendary sight of a pear in the bottle, the liqueur quickly established itself as one of the state's quintessential specialities.
