The color is a deep red with a purple tint. The first impression is a scent of cassis with hints of licorice and spices. It is full of fruitiness and the tannins are well-integrated, resulting in a soft taste. The long, lingering truffle flavor is pleasant.

Winemaking method: Selected plots of 40- and 47-year-old vines are located on gentle southeast-facing slopes. Hand-picked, sorted, crushed, and destemmed. Immediate cold maceration before fermentation. Pudging extracts aroma, color, and tannins; no enzymes or heat are added. After 16 days of fermentation, the free-run wine is blended with the press-run. Aging in barrels for 16 months (30% new). Lightly filtered and bottled without fining.
